The official canvass of the bond issue vote was made by the commissioners of election today. The official totals show 757 for the bond and 131 against it, while the unofficial results announced after the election were 705 in favor and 155 opposed.

Funeral services were held today at 11 for Mrs. Viola Miller Nichols who was killed in her Washington apartment. Her husband Edward Nichols is held by a Washington grand jury. The service at her brother Bernie Miller's residence in Winchester was led by Rev. E. T. Clark with interment at Mount Hebron Cemetery. Survivors include her mother Grace Miller and son Edgar Shanholtz plus brothers and sisters Melvin Bernie Miller Alice Heltzel Nannie Hershman.
