Mother Charged With Neglect to Undergo Tests
A 39 year old mother Mrs Kerns was charged with neglect after her eight week old son died. She appeared in Municipal Court in Staunton and was committed to Western State Hospital for tests. Doctors said the home showed unsanitary conditions and the infant died of natural causes but with suspected neglect. If found mentally ill she will be confined to the hospital or return for trial.
