Unofficial totals show Frederick County and nearby areas nearing 400 plus, with 1,525 kills in five days across Frederick Shenandoah Warren counties. Freight Kills Four at Crossing in Tennessee
Four Sweetwater women died when their car was struck by a Knoxville bound freight train at a crossing. Police list the victims as Mrs. William Albert Frye 33 Mrs. Raymond Queen 25 Mrs. Vera Chastain Hayes 45 and Mrs. Dorothy O Swafford 28. Robertson calls for end to commercialized football in Virginia colleges

Mrs Woodward Cleared of Blame in Woodward Death
Nassau County grand jury found no evidence of crime in the death of socialite sportsman William Woodward shot by his wife Ann. The 39 year old widow left the courthouse supported by a man as she faced reporters after the verdict, telling the jury she killed no one. Her lawyer said she can now be left alone with her children. General Church Body Will Study College Transfer
