John W. Chamberlain a longtime Jefferson county farmer and Winchester resident was laid to rest Saturday in Mount Hebron Cemetery after a funeral at First Baptist Church. The service was led by Rev. E T Clark with Rev Dr C A Freed assisting. pallbearers and many friends attended. Chamberlain died last Wednesday night at his home from a stroke of paralysis. He was a Baptist Church member.

Woodstock man injured when car crashes into pole
Charles G. Miller of Woodstock Virginia sustained serious injuries yesterday when his car on Valleypike near Cedar Creek bridge struck a telephone pole. The pole snapped eight feet from the ground and fell onto the car trapping Miller. He was taken to Woodstock for treatment by Dr. M. C. Gearing and expected to recover.

Arrested Here For Quitting Wife In Keyser
Thomas F. Dolan of Keyser West Virginia was arrested here Saturday night by Policeman Boyd on a warrant from West Virginia for wife desertion and contempt of court. Grandson Will Inherit Entire Estate After Proved Will
The will of Clarkson T. Fawcett, probated in the county clerk's office, leaves the estate to his two sons for life with a Shenandoah Valley National Bank trust for widows. Freight Car Hurling Kills Two on National Limited

Strasburg Boy Dies After Auto Collision
Virgil Polk six year old son of Hugh Polk of Fishers Hill was fatally injured when struck by a car returning from Sunday school on the Valley pike. The New York driver with Maryland companions brought him to Dr. B R White in Strasburg who sent him to Winchester hospital where he died at Stephens Cry six miles south of Winchester.
