100 Deer Slain In County Sets All-time Record
Frederick county hunters boosted the 1948 deer season tally to 100 with a morning total of seven deer and 19 more reported yesterday. The cold clear day drew many hunters as stations logged kills including Donald Patton and James Letterman in Winchester and Burton Richard and George Mason at Mt Falls. No accidents reported though one cap sprained by a rifle shot occurred in Warren county.
