Death of George E. Fugitt in Albion Pa railroad explosion
Relatives in Winchester report details of the fatal boiler explosion on a Pennsylvania railroad locomotive. Engineer George E. Fugitt acting as fireman died with two other crew members when the boiler burst after low water. Fugitt, born 1878 in Winchester, Virginia, left a widow Lenore Chauncey and five children. He had worked for Bessemer Railroad since 1910 and was buried in Alexandria after services in the M E church conducted by the Rev. Redineer.
