Thanksgiving Day and the following Friday will be observed as holidays in Winchester and Frederick county public schools. Frederick county grants Thanksgiving as the sole holiday for the session. Ray Gatewood and Webb Jenkins reported their car stolen by two armed men early Monday near Paw Paw West Virginia. The vehicle was recovered in Greensboro North Carolina. The pair were robbed of small cash amounts and aided by a Mr Sargent who drove them to a telephone to spread the alarm. Authorities noted a Greensboro theft shortly before the Gatewood car was found and linked the cases as the suspects possibly moved south toward Route 50.
All parties may dispose of refuse auto bodies or any waste at Wise Carver Farm on Senseney Road. No further dumping will be permitted at Rouss Spring Grounds.

NEW CASTLE Ky Nov 19 Coroner D L Rocketts said a paraffin test of Brig Gen Henry H Denhardt hands showed he fired a gun recently in the alleged killing of Mrs Verna Garr Taylor.
George Ridgway Cooper, senior partner of G R Cooper Harnden and Company, died suddenly on Saturday November 7 while at a football game in Liverpool. His health had been failing for over a year. Major House hosted him as a guest in Winchester. Cooper was well known among local fruit growers and Major House’s southern representative for years.
The pajama clad body of 27 year old Clara Marsh of Seguin Texas was found on a highway near San Antonio. County patrol Capt J W Bryant said she appeared slain elsewhere and her body dumped from a car. She wore hose underclothes and black pajamas and had multiple fractures and a head wound.

Richard M. Pugh aged 65 of Whitacre Frederick County died at home after a brief pneumonia illness. He leaves one brother Charles N Pugh and three sisters Mollie Whitacre Laura Whitacre and Ollie Sargent. Funeral tomorrow 1 30 pm at his house then Redland Methodist Church with Rev Goode and Rev Spitzer officiating. Interment in Whitacre family lot.
