Mrs Elizabeth Hockman received word from the International Red Cross via the U S War Department that her son Pfc Duane W Hockman is a prisoner of the Germans. He had been missing in action in southern France since September 1 after serving overseas since last November with a tank division in North Africa and Italy. He fought from Anzio to Rome and was later transferred to the Field Artillery before arriving in southern France. His mother has letters from him dated August 25 and 28. He has a brother.
