Three Die As Fire Destroys Half Large Packing Plant
A Sunday morning blaze at the North street packing plant of Glaize and Hurst leveled half the facility causing over 40000 dollars in damage. Roy Stewart his wife Lillian and infant Wayne died in the smoke though not from burns. Survivors from nearby apartments were rescued by firemen including Smith White and Luttrell families. The origin of the fire remained undetermined and residents evacuated with heavy smoke filling the area.

Poison Liquor Causes Death of A Strasburg Man
Floyd Sonner, 36, formerly of Strasburg Virginia, died in Harrisburg Pennsylvania after a single poisoned drink at a pool room where he cashed his paycheck.
