Western Union Workers Face Wage Boost and Staff Cuts
The CIO allied American Communications Association warned of a FCC complaint if Western Union reduces messenger staff by 3,000. The two firms agreed to pay messengers at least 25 cents an hour under the federal wage hour law, lifting the average pay from six dollars to a higher level.
