Billfold Taken From Berryville Woman Found
Berryville police investigated an attack on Thelma Carpenter at 116 S Church St. between 7:15 and 7:20 p m. The assailant grabbed her from behind, knocked her to the ground, and took her billfold containing $15. It was recovered about a half hour later with contents intact. Thelma Carpenter suffered a mouth injury. Suspect described as a white male in his late 20s, 140 to 145 pounds, five feet nine to ten inches, wearing a light sweater and bareheaded. Police checked Berryville and surrounding areas.
