Voter turnout reached about 55 percent with Republicans sweeping the contested races. Incumbents Dell Raymond Guest Jr. and Alson Smith won reelection to the House of Delegates, Clarke County approved liquor by the drink, and all four county offices remained Democratic. Republican Kenneth Stiles wins the Stonewall District Board of Supervisors seat with 592 of 1,254 votes as Manuel DeHaven and independent R. Charles Hott split the rest.
