In Frederick County 2300 votes were cast yesterday for Congress. Democrat T W Harrison, of Winchester, led with 1326 to Republican Jacob A Garber of Harrisonburg on 974. Judge Harrison also carried the county by 352, with Lamps precinct yet to report for the congressional race. Lamps reported the presidential vote but not the member of Congress.

The body of Miss Sarah EB Newcomb who died in Staunton Virginia after pneumonia is brought to Frederick town and taken to Jones funeral home. Funeral services will be held at Mount Hebron Cemetery chapel at 2 PM with Rev J L Neff officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot. She was 74 and survived by her brother Charles E Newcomb and three sisters Mrs Rachel White Mrs Rosie Miller and Mrs William B Flemister. The death marks a fourth in her family in six months.
