A Frederick county resident reports a discovery about black widow spiders. T. W. Russell, superintendent of the parish farm, says he saw a large buck deer in a farm field. The deer allegedly cleared five high wire fences and prompted sheep to scatter in fear. Russell estimates the deer weighed about 250 pounds and possibly came from Great North mountain.

Four Killed In Wreck Of Train At Lovejoy Georgia
Four persons died when the Southland Central of Georgia passenger train derailed after colliding with a truck at a highway crossing in Lovejoy Georgia. Engineer D C Wall of Atlanta was buried under the locomotive. James Allen and his wife and their two year old son were killed. Fireman Jim Henry was pinned under wreckage and later removed conscious. Conductor J Howell suffered nervous shock. Three passengers were injured: Mrs J M Williams of Chicago, Mrs A J Lamar of Montgomery Alabama, and Lacy Loving of Louisville Kentucky.
