Byrd Wins Virginia Senate Reelection Big Victory
Sen. Harry Byrd Jr. won reelection in Virginia with 57 percent of the statewide vote, carrying eight of 10 congressional districts and strong local margins in Winchester, Frederick and Clarke counties. He defeated Zumwalt and Perper as Republican Robinson won reelection in the Seventh District.
