Weekend Crashes Damage Seven Cars and Skid Injuries
Seven cars were damaged in weekend crashes with no serious injuries. A 1937 Plymouth driven by Irvin Rinker struck a 1931 Ford sedan driven by Harry Kerns on Route 522 near Winchester, causing about 125 in damage to the Plymouth and 106 to the Ford, with a passenger and a child slightly hurt. A 1938 Buick driven by Harold Carter left the road near the golf course, hitting a telephone pole and tumbling down an embankment, about 300 in damage. A 1937 Plymouth coach driven by Elmer Oates collided with a 1940 Chevrolet driven by William Turner on Millwood Avenue, sending Oates over the curb into the driveway.
