Dr. C. R. Anderson, chairman of the Board of Health, said there is no outbreak risk but urged precautions for those exposed to recent diphtheria cases. He noted sporadic but severe cases, discussed irregularities for a forthcoming board meeting, and emphasized vaccination with toxin antitoxin or toxoid. Five Killed In Navy Plane Collision Over Boeing Field
Five men were killed when two Navy planes collided mid air at the south end of Boeing Field Seattle. Witnesses said two crewmen from the smaller plane bailed out and landed safely. Bullet Wound Fatal To Youth Jacob Crabill
Jacob H. Crabill aged 28 died at Memorial Hospital from a gunshot wound to the head suffered when he borrowed a 22 caliber rifle from a neighbor. He was found in a garage near his home by George Snapp and died shortly before 11 pm after treatment by Dr. Shaffer and Dr. McKee. He was a Frederick County native, a mechanic, and survived by his father, a brother Roy in Virginia, and sister Mae in Winchester.
