Frederickburg November 2 Circuit Judge Leon M Bazile told about 400 residents at King George County High School that he would close the white school if a Richmond Federal court orders it opened to Negroes. He said it would stay closed until equal and separate facilities for Negroes are provided. The bond referendum for a new Negro high school, $150000, is set for November 6. Superintendent T Ben ton Gayle spoke in favor, noting the county’s low tax rate of 1.60 per 100 dollars. Federal Judge Sterling Hutcheson ordered equalized facilities last summer after Negro students were kept from the white school.
