Leganes faced heavy shelling by insurgent artillery while Vallecas suffered eight bombs killing three children and wounding eight adults. Insurgent planes visited Madrid’s outskirts eight times. no bombs fell on central Madrid. Getafe residents were evacuated for a planned sweeping new offensive.
