Washington investigators consider exhuming Detective Arthur Scrivener's body to compare fingerprints on a pistol with the right hand print while weighing murder versus self destruction theories. Coroner Nevitt may request the exhumation under Virginia authority as Monday inquest nears.
Mr. Moore, backed by Piedmont Directory Company and endorsed by the Winchester Chamber of Commerce, seeks to publish an updated city directory. In Baltimore an automobile crash near Colda and Charles Street involved two uniformed officers and two young women. One passenger Mire Elizabeth Miller died. Patrolman Charles W. Robb killed himself at home after learning of the death. Robb leaves a widow and three children. Emmett C. Stuart Jr., a Johns Hopkins student, faced speeding and licensing charges but escaped injury. Patrolmen Robb and Novak were suspended pending investigation.
Mrs. Fairman R. Dick once Gladys Roosevelt, cousin of the late President, was killed near Brookville New York when her horse fell after catching a knee on a rail during a Meadowbrook Hunt Club fox hunt. The incident occurred shortly before 11 o clock at the Brewster estate.

He cites paving progress from Asheville to the Georgia line and an Asheville to Atlanta autocade that drew over 200 cars. Marvel invites the association's executives to visit Asheville to boost northern tourist traffic through western North Carolina and the Shenandoah corridor. Gertrude Schneider of Emmert's Store is recovering from bruises after being hit by the front fender of a car on East Piccadilly Street near the Baltimore and Ohio passenger station Saturday night. She was crossing the street and was thrown to the roadway but no bones were broken. She was taken home and is able to be out.
The funeral for Mrs. Edward G. Hollis who died yesterday morning will be held tomorrow at 3 PM from her home 211 East Water Street. Rev. Dr. C. A. Freed of Grace Lutheran Church will officiate and she will be buried in the family lot at Mount Hebron Cemetery.
The traffic committee led by chairman T. B. Patton painted bright red curbs along hydrants and street corners to indicate no parking zones. Red curbs extend fifteen feet on each side of five hydrants and twenty feet at street corners with no parking allowed at any time.
Prices paid for American apples at the Liverpool October auction fell across most varieties. A 2 1/2 inch fruit sold around $5.60 to $6.57 per barrel, with comparable grades down 97 cents to $1.46. Some varieties held firmer, but overall demand and supplies were uneven amid liberal pack conditions and UK import pressures.
