Longtime Frederick County Leader Dies at 93
John Kline of Middletown, a prominent farmer and Grace Methodist Episcopal Church lay leader, died at home in Middletown after a long illness. Born April 15 1829 at Kline's Mill he served in the infantry and cavalry during the Civil War, endured camps Chase and Morton, and rebuilt his farm after the conflict. Survived by two sons and a sister, his funeral will be held Monday at Grace Church with burial in Carmel Cemetery.
