The Winchester Common Council approved a new traffic ordinance but enforcement is postponed to June 15 due to unfinished signs and pamphlet printing. Memorial Day Services Honor Civil War Veterans at Winchester
Memorial services were held at the National Cemetery in Winchester for Civil War and World War II veterans. A 5,000 grave array received flags and floral tributes as the Ladies' National Memorial Association coordinated decorations. The ceremony included prayers, anthems, Lincoln Gettysburg Address readings, a memorial address, and volleys, followed by taps.
