The W S C S of Mountain View Church sponsors a ham and chicken supper and yard party Saturday starting at 5 pm at Friendly Grove Community Hall. Local families and visitors attend weekend gatherings and church services next Sunday at 9 30 am with Sunday School at 10 30 am.

63 Stitches Needed to Close Dog Bite Wound
In Fairmont Minnesota Kenneth Klug three suffered a nine inch facial gash from family farm dog Rover. Surgeons at Fairmont Hospital used 63 stitches to close the wound described as almost unbelievable. Kenneth was released Monday with doctors noting the recovery is healing well and rabies tests showed no signs in Rover.

Howard M. Hounshell of Winchester Rt. 1 has been admitted to the Liberty Mutual Rehabilitation Center in Boston for an on the job injury. He is the 3406th patient treated at the Center since 1943. He sustained an amputation of fingers on his right hand at Virginia Weslen Company. Treatments include occupational recreational and physical therapy. Since opening, about 75 percent of patients have returned to work.
