Col King Harman, 77, long time Pulaski county legislator, banker and farmer, died after a stroke at his home late Sunday. He was brought to the Chatham jail. Overby quoted the negro as saying I reckon I just got mad. State county and Danville city Police headed passes in the hunt for Swanson. Coward was shot and killed yesterday afternoon as he sought to arrest another negro on drunk and disorderly charges at a church gathering.
