West Virginia apple growers seek ruling on labels
Martinsburg May 28 West Virginia apple growers called for a ruling from the state attorney general on whether packaging must carry outside labeling. If correct, no new grades will be created. A committee of state officials and growers met after a public session urging two new grades to avoid an unclassified label harming sales. The group includes J H Smith, C H Hartley, Ed Leatherman, H W Miller, Cecil W Wood, Malcolm M Brown, and J Burns Huyett.
