County unveils land use maps guiding Winchester future
At a public hearing the Frederick County Planning Commission presented two maps described as guidelines for the county’s future. Stan Marsh of the state planning department explained the metropolitan area map shows residential densities, conservation land and industrial sites along U.S. Route 11 with a focus on development within a two to two and a half mile radius of Winchester.
