Seniors to Take part in four county baccalaureate services
Sixty seven seniors from four county high schools will participate in baccalaureate services tomorrow. Eighteen graduates will gather at 8 p.m. in the Stonewall High School auditorium for a sermon by Rev. R B Griffith. At Middletown High School eight seniors will meet at Grace Methodist Church for the service with Rev J B Peebles as speaker. Gore High School will host 14 seniors at 8 p.m. with Rev Benjamin Coe Winchester delivering the address. Stephens City High School will hold services at 8 p.m. for 27 members with Rev Earl C Day as the speaker. Worship leaders include Rev C A York and Rev A Hayne Boozer, with music by the Gore Glee Club and processions at each service.

Slot machines and liquor by the drink will be available aboard the Pleasure Island by June 1. W. L. Dixon, president, said concessions have been licensed in Charles County Maryland, with the vessel anchored in Maryland waters near Colonial Beach. A pier will ferry 30 to 40 patrons from town to the gamb ling ship. Mayor Norman Brewington said the town will keep exploring options to halt gambling at its waterfront.

Fish Caught In Intermission By College Students
Four Norfolk college students caught a flounder and an eleven foot shark in Lynnhaven Bay near the Lesner Bridge. They pulled the shark into shallow water and killed it with a boat anchor and oars, then towed the shark to a Ocean View fish establishment. Examinations began today at the Norfolk division of William and Mary and VPI.

Cars Collide On Route 11 Near Stephens City High
Seven people escaped serious injury when two cars collided head on in front of Stephens City High School on Route 11 at 11 last night. Donald Leciano of Bradford PA and Navy passengers Wesley Weatherholtz and Maurice Wheeler aboard the USS Adirondack in Philadelphia were hospitalized with facial cuts and bruises. Charles Spitler 19 of Middletown drove a 1929 Ford that was wrecked, with Parker 16 eyelid laceration and Walter and Thomas Miller 16 and 19 also treated but not admitted.
