Scrabble Hall, a 60 acre historic farm residence three miles east of Berry R7 near Shenandoah river, is sold to Mr and Mrs Chester Frederick County school teachers who will move with their children after an auction. The 100 year old stone house built by H Sowers stands on land largely tillable with 50 acres wheat and 25 acres corn. 4 H Club Enrolment Reaches Record High in Frederick County
Frederick county 4 H council marks its 14th year with a record enrolment of 124 boys and 134 girls. Tonight at the county courthouse the council will present activities and a plan for a county fair in October. Nine youths will attend the State Short Course at VPI June 28 to July 3 under leaders Mrs. Boyd Ramey and Clarence Cather. Committees report on fair roundups camp safety and health and two county wide parties are planned for July and August at T. N. Cathers farm.
