Man Charged with Shooting into Auto in Front Royal
Front Royal Virginia Warren County Sheriff charges Dennis Wines of 302 Blue Ridge Ave with feloniously shooting into an occupied vehicle. The car was driven by Steve Silvious and occupied by four others. Wines held on 10000 dollar bond. Arraignment set for tomorrow at 10 a.m. Investigation ongoing. Officers from Warren County Sheriff’s Office and Front Royal Police assisted.

Driver Killed at Summit Point Raceway
State police report a race driver Thomas Shaffer, 62, of Silver Spring Maryland was killed at Summit Point Raceway in Charles Town West Virginia. The Datsun he drove flipped multiple times after an axle failure as he rounded a curve and entered a straightaway. Witnesses estimated the car reached about 130 mph before losing control.

Winchester Fire Destroys Home at 321 South Loudoun Street
A Sunday early morning fire at 321 South Loudoun Street in Winchester caused an estimated 20 000 to 30 000 dollars in damages. No occupants were found. 35 to 40 firefighters from three companies battled the blaze, with cause under investigation.
