Two Vehicle Crashes Cause About $1,000 In Damage
Police report two separate accidents in the city causing about $1,000 in property damage. On Friday at 2:50 p.m. a 1940 Pontiac coupe driven by John Richard Conard collided with a 1950 Buick driven by Josephine Virginia Kingree at E Piccadilly and N Kent. The Buick struck a curb and broke a city sign and fence section near the Virginia Woolen Co. yard. The Conard car needed about $100 in repairs. The Thursday incident occurred at 6:20 p.m. at Braddock and North Ave between a 1946 Ford owned by O Connell Air Conditioning Co. and driven by Edward R. Link and another vehicle driven by Julian W Jeffcoat. Total damage for that crash was $325.

Resident Fined Over Fireworks Use in City
