Birth Control Pills Do Not Cause Breast Cancer, Study Finds
A two year study of 220 women on birth control pills indicates no link to breast cancer and may even deter breast lumps. Dr. Martin P. Vessey of Oxford University reported at an American Cancer Society conference that early data suggest oral contraceptives do not raise breast neoplasia risk and may protect against benign lesions. Participants from five London hospitals were interviewed by Vessey and colleagues.
