Two Local Shetlands to Represent Blue Ridge at Regional

Mrs. Roland Mitchell of Boyce and Mrs. James Rowley of Middleburg will represent the Blue Ridge Dog Training Club at the 1979 Games Eastern Regional Obedience Championship in Lynchburg on May 26 and 27 with their Shetland sheep dogs Saratoga Taffy C.D. and Rowleys Rebel C.D. Both dogs compete in the novice division.

Vepco Likely to Ask SCC for Rate Hike

Virginia Electric and Power Co. plans to ask the State Corporation Commission for a rate increase near 64 million dollars, on top of a 148 million increase approved March 20. The utility cites an 8.88 percent return and an 18 million gap to reach 9.6 percent, plus 46 million to bring North Anna Unit 2 online later this year.
