A two car collision at Routes 50 and 12 in Clarke County sent four women to the hospital at noon. Harold T. Elder a Marine at Quantico drove a 1950 Ford and struck the right side of a 1949 Plymouth driven by Miss Ellen Cranin of Dedham Massachusetts. Cranin suffered a severely injured arm and was treated at Winchester Memorial Hospital. Additional details list Miss Alma Achin of North Attleboro and Miss Bertha Arsenhault of unknown, as other injured parties.

Six Workmen Hurt In Little Inch Pipeline Break
A section of the Little Inch pipeline ripped open at a valve in Martetta Pennsylvania injuring six workers. The 20 inch line carries natural gas from Texas to Eastern cities and was temporarily elevated for a new compressor station. Olan Mills Inc challenged the $100 daily fee for out of town photographers and had previously secured a restraining order.
