Congress Speech on Air Power and National Defense
In a presidential address the speaker argues for rapid expansion of air power and domestic defense. He cites global distances, warns against unready defense, and calls for production increases to 50 000 planes a year while stressing democracy, faith, and readiness to forcefully defend American liberties. The address urges swift congressional action if defense requires it.
