Funeral Rites Held For Mrs. Lou Thompson
Capon Bridge West Virginia May 14 funeral services were held for Mrs. Lou Thompson 79 of Capon Bridge daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Spencer Gill at Fairview Church with burial nearby. The Rev S J Goode and Rev E G Nine officiated as mourners sang several hymns and many floral tributes were sent. Mrs Thompson known as Aunt Lou spent most of her life in Hampshire and Frederick counties and was a longtime member of the United Brethren Church. Pallbearers were J W Hutchinson H E Hiett E E Haines Fred Whitacre Landon Whitacre and John Whitacre. She leaves a half brother Conrad Gill Capon Bridge and two half sisters Mrs Vernie Pugh Capon Bridge and Mrs Dora Seldon Highview W V along with several nieces and nephews.

Dr. L. M. Allen of Winchester owns Red Tape, a five year old gray hunter, which won the hunter stake and a $500 prize at the National Capital Horse Show closing program at Bradley Farms near Washington. Loudoun Democrats Back Byrd Delegates Endorsed For President
Democrats of Loudoun county held six district conventions on Saturday electing 21 delegates to the state convention in Richmond on June 9. They endorsed Harry F. Byrd for the Democratic presidential nomination and instructed delegates to vote for Byrd supporters to the national convention in Chicago. This move opposed a bid by former Gov.
