Navy Veteran Survives Five Days Trapped In Car Crash
Ernest Kenneth Steele, 26, a Richmond oil refinery worker and Navy veteran, described being trapped for five days in his overturned car near Martinez California. He drank no water or food, survived on gum, and only ten feet from a water course, until rescued by two power company linemen. Doctors fear his right arm may be amputated after it was crushed.
