State Trooper James Wood reported two separate accidents on U S Route 50 near Gore about 10 a.m. a mile apart. One incident involved Walter Sprage of Monongahela Pa whose 1954 Cadillac slid off the highway and into a creek after attempting to pass a truck. no injuries and minor fence damage were noted. The second crash saw Mable Green Lytle Leesburg driving a 1948 Studebaker collide head on with Boyd L Bott Needmore W Va in a 1949 Plymouth. neither driver was reported injured.
