About 125 people had access to the fuel storage building at Vepco Surry plant. FBI says the number may be closer to 250 as interviews begin with those in the building since February. Security tightened. contamination found in 62 of 64 fuel elements.

Newport News Shipyard to Appeal Ruling in Steelworkers Case
Newport News Shipbuilding will file exceptions to NL RB Judge Melvin Welles ruling upholding the Steelworkers election victory at the yard. The company plans to appeal by May 25 while PSA also appeals, extending a long dispute over vote fraud and bargaining agent status for 15,500 workers.
