Great Dane Spared Death in Dangerous Dog Ruling

Caesar a 165-pound Great Dane in the western New York village of 1225 was ruled dangerous after three unprovoked attacks on Bruce Seager. Judge Hubert J. Gillett sentenced the dog to confinement for one year, while the owner Edward L. Coxe Jr. defended the dog with character witnesses and a petition from schoolchildren.

Stephens City High School Plans June 1 to 6 Graduation Events

Stephens City High School announces the 1941 senior activities the week of June 1 to 6. A sermon to the graduates will be held at a Winchester Lutheran church on June 1 with several local pastors. The Girls' Glee Club will sing, followed by a senior bonfire on June 4 and a frankfurter feast. Commencement occurs June 6 at 10 30 on the open lawn with diplomas, caps and gowns, and remarks by Principal Robert Ayler. The Class of 1941 includes Evelyn Anderson through Iva Yates, among 41 graduates, one of the largest classes in school history.

Special Courses for Navy Men at Annapolis Graduation
