The late Gen and Mrs Laurence Tyson home in Knoxville Tennessee was given to St Johns Protestant Episcopal Church as the Bettie and Laurence Tyson Memorial by their daughter Mrs Kenneth N Gilpin of Scabeby Clarke county. Dedication on May 1 drew 400 guests with University of Tennessee President Hoskins and Bishop Gailor officiating.

Brooklyn Man Held for Questioning in Five Family Deaths
Frederick Gross a 49 year old bookkeeper in Manhattan was taken into custody by Brooklyn detectives for questioning over five musical deaths in his family since March 29. Analysis of vital organs from two daughters showed traces of poison and a can of cocoa at the Gross home yielded the same poison. Police awaited toxicology results to confirm the cause and Gross remained in custody.
