Sergeant Harry C. Bruce of Elkton Virginia a member of Company E Sixteenth United States Infantry was killed in action in France April 27. He enlisted in 1916 after leaving Elkton High School and served on the Mexican border and with Pershing in France. He was 19 and survived by his parents three sisters and seven brothers plus a church connection with the United Brethren Church.
