Apple Blossom Festival marks 21st Wenatchee event
The Apple Blossom Festival at Wenatchee Washington celebrated its 21st run on April 25 26 and 27. The grand parade featured 120 floats and 60 princesses including several from British Columbia. The queen was crowned at night with artistic lighting. Visitors to Shenandoah Valley and Winchester arrived by charters tours and buses. The Clifton Forge Band gave an impromptu rooftop concert for Oscar Nobel Company workers. Castlemans Ferry bridge opened the festival drew heavy traffic and workmen began dismantling the old bridge.

Three groups the Winchester district Methodist Church Four H clubs and the Bible Mission coordinate an airily situated government built camp in the Washington National Forest to serve underprivileged children.
