Planning District revises three year Criminal Justice Plan
The Lord Fairfax Planning District updates its three year Criminal Justice Plan on May 3 1978. The proposed central dispatch linking Front Royal Police Department and Warren County Sheriff may be delayed due to disputed leadership and setup terms. Funding is approved but agreement on operation is uncertain with a June 1 decision deadline. Chief Rutherford's status and a pending misdemeanor trial add to the complications. The board endorses an I 66 impact study to guide local ordinances and planning. Margaret Woods urged a Winchester hearing on Potomac Edison rate changes, which the board supported. William Baker of Southern Railway announced a mobile agent for Front Royal with toll free access, replacing a local base agent. The plan includes potential rail user collaboration and no current building plans.
