Edwin, Harold Smith and Richard Green narrowly escaped serious injury when a Ford driven by Walter Fletcher ran over the two boys while they played marbles near the new church site on West Cork Street. Fletcher said the car wabbelled and crossed the street toward a rock crusher, striking Green and the Smith boy. Green crawled away uninjured while Smith walked home with grandparents.
William Ralph Rinker, bright son of Mr and Mrs Ralph Rinker of East Leicester street, was feared dying after a severe attack. Late yesterday he rallied and was resting, with hopes for recovery as Dr Boyd H R Read arrived from Washington for consultation with the family physician. The child is a grandson of Mr and Mrs Robert Worsley of this city and William F Rinker of Opequon.
