Davis Power Project Objections Still Unresolved
In mid February President Carter formed a task force to study Davis Power Project compromises amid a legal battle involving the Fish and Wildlife Service Army Corps of Engineers and FERC. With no progress report by the 60 day deadline the interagency group faces litigation, regulatory, and environmental challenges surrounding the 1000 megawatt hydroelectric plant in Canaan Valley. Senator Randolph remains hopeful the study will yield productive interagency discussions despite delays.
