Eight Die in Two Virginia Accidents
The Associated Press reports eight people died in two weekend highway crashes across Virginia. In Green, six Baltimore residents perished in a tractor trailer collision on US 301 near Bowling Green. In Petersburg, three Virginia victims died when two cars collided in heavy rain on I 95. One driver remained hospitalized in Staunton after an earlier crash at US 11 and Virginia 54.

Crashes Injure 2 Girls and Damage Route 50 Collision

A stray camel wandered onto Cairo International Airport runway as an Air India Boeing 707 began its takeoff. The pilot pulled away just yards from the animal as guards chased the camel for an hour, causing three other jets to circle awaiting clearance.
