Secret Service On Hand For President At Apple Blossom
More than 160 Virginia State Troopers plus Secret Service agents will guard President Ford during the Apple Blossom Festival in Winchester. National Guardsmen and deputies add to city policing for the three day event while four Winchester Rescue Squad members serve as Presidential Emergency Medical Support Team. Fire protection remains at full force with special units for landing and take-off and a staff post at Handley High School. An error in the festival program incorrectly lists Sunday Horse Show times.
