Special to The Star reports six people injured in a two car collision on Valley Pike three miles north of Harrisonburg. Edith Anderson of Winchester sustained serious head and possible leg injuries, while Mary Conley Theodore Rodgers Raymond Bennett Owen Alders and Robert Freeze suffered cuts and bruises. The wreck occurred near a construction zone shortly after midnight with both cars damaged beyond repair. All occupants face hearings. no arrests were made.

Florence Arizona March 31 Warden A G Walker disclosed Winnie Ruth Judd sentenced to hang April 21 in the trunk murder case cut through a prison bar three weeks ago with a saw from her brother Burton McKinnell. She was found by a guard at night and said she wanted to be ready to escape. Guards now watch her cell constantly though he said she had not really attempted to escape. Fatal Collision Near Winchester Leaves One Dead
A three-truck wreck about 3 miles east of Winchester on the Lee Jackson Highway killed Ernest L Hayes 21 of Cary North Carolina.
