Youth Escapes Harm When Train Hits Car

A 15 year old Winchester youth with six months driving experience escaped unharmed after his 1961 car was struck by a B and O Railroad locomotive and dragged 168 feet along the tracks at Fairfax Lane crossing. Officers H E Richards and C Edmondson noted the crossing bell ringing and 27 feet of tire marks. Engineer Alpheus P Houle of kg operated the locomotive as the collision severely damaged the sedan.
