Vietnamese Boat People Start New Life In Winchester
Last October about 2500 Vietnamese boat people fled the Malay coast. Seven arrived in Winchester last week sponsored by Grace Lutheran Church. The Huynh family includes Tho Trinh Anh Bac Truong and others. Language barriers slow sharing of escape details and daily tasks. Experts note rapid potential assimilation and many former officials now work in service jobs while saving to start businesses.
